Epoxy resin dry-type transformers use epoxy resin as the insulating material. The high-voltage coils are manufactured by wire winding, and the low-voltage coils by foil winding. Epoxy resin is cast under vacuum and solidified to form a high-strength fiberglass structure.
Epoxy resin dry-type transformers feature excellent electrical performance, strong lightning impulse resistance, high short-circuit withstand capability, high mechanical strength, low partial discharge, and high reliability. They can be equipped with a temperature display controller to monitor and control the operating temperature of the transformer coils, ensuring a normal service life.
The thin resin insulation layers on the inner and outer sides of the coils provide excellent heat dissipation. The cooling method generally adopts natural air cooling (AN), and an air-forced cooling (AF) system can be configured for transformers of any protection class.
They have low noise, low loss, good energy-saving effect, and economical operation.
As a new generation of dry-type transformers, SC(B) series dry-type transformers are widely used for power supply in the following places: high-rise buildings, commercial centers, theaters, hospitals, industrial and mining enterprises, offshore oil drilling platforms, ships, subways, stations, airports, power plants, residential quarters, etc.
